A musical exploration about one-man’s struggle to get to the top of his game, and then the struggle to find his place when the game has ended.
At the peak of his career playing several roles in the Tony and Grammy award winning smash hit Jersey Boys on Broadway, Eric made the decision to return to his hometown of Detroit so that he could raise his two young daughters closer to his family.
Weaving together beloved songs from musical theatre and popular music, dead-on celebrity impressions, and sneak peeks at what goes on backstage at one of the biggest hits in Broadway history, Gutman, who made the transition from Broadway star to suburban Michigan Dad, will share his extraordinary gifts with audiences in this thrilling concert experience.
In an electrifying concert full of humor and soul, Broadway performer Eric Gutman (Jersey Boys) authentically rocks the anthemic hits of Neil Diamond. A nationally-touring musician, actor, and multi-instrumentalist, the dynamic Gutman captures the charasmatic energy and raw simplicity that made Diamond one of pop music's most enduring singer-songwriters. Featuring a dynamite band, feel-good favorites include "Cherry Cherry," "Song Sung Blue," "Cracklin' Rosie," "I'm a Believer," "America," and "Sweet Caroline." Presented by Artists Lounge Live.

This is me.
Eric Gutman, a Detroit-born actor and musician, earned national recognition through theatre and television. His passion began at age nine when his grandparents bought him his first guitar, sparking a lifelong journey in music and performance.
Nationally, Eric is best known for his nearly three-year run in the Tony and Grammy Award-winning hit Jersey Boys, where he performed over 1,200 shows in six different roles—including three of the Four Seasons—and was among the few cast members to play live instruments on stage. He also spent over a decade with the Off-Broadway and touring companies of Forbidden Broadway and Forbidden Hollywood, performing in over 100 theatres across the U.S. and with symphonies in Minneapolis and Edmonton.
In 2014, Eric launched his acclaimed one-man biopic musical From Broadway to Obscurity, which has toured coast to coast and earned honors including "Best One-Person Show" (2016 Detroit Wilde Awards) and "Best Solo Show (Musical)" (2016 Orlando Fringe Festival). It was filmed for PBS in August 2020 and broadcast to markets across the country.
Eric holds a BFA in Music Theatre Performance from Western Michigan University and has been a proud member of Actor’s Equity Association since 1999 and the American Federation of Musicians. Eric is a proud resident of Huntington Woods, Michigan, where he lives with his wife and two daughters.
